Opinions/experence with the BAR

I am considering a used Safari in 338 Win Mag. What can you tell me about one?

high quality rifles, accurate as a bolt gun, creepy trigger (but tolerable), low recoil.

I've hunted with them for 15 years, both MKI's and MKII's, never had to take one apart for internal cleaning. The BOSS system (if installed) is ridiculously loud but makes for a softer shooting rifle.

If you aren't dead set on a browning take a hard look at the benelli argo.

Well, I'm on my way to another thread.

Thought this was about the BAR my dad used in the Marine Corps.
