Dirty, Dirty, Dirty

Did I say dirty? I had some b/c that was all the 45 left one day except JHP and I did not like the 300 rounds of it I shot, nor the coaitng of soot it left on my sig.

Spend the extra dollar or so for the name brand crap.

Independence Ammo IS name brand ammo. It is marketed by ATK (owners of CCI/Speer/Federal) and made by Magtech. Generally it is regarded as good functioning and mildly dirty/clean depending on what weapon and who you ask.

I have shot it in 9mm and it is one of the top 2 ammo brands for FMJ I have shot, which include CCI Blazer, CCI Blazer Brass (the #1 ammo my CZ likes), Independence, Magtech, Federal American Eagle, Fiocchi, and Winchester White Box.

I have a sig 220 and it jams like crazy with this ammo. It does not like Blazer brass either.

I've fired it in 9mm Luger, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. It has been reliable but very dirty. I finally had to limit using it to outdoor ranges, as on my favorite indoor range I was obscuring both my target and my neighbor's.

Don't know about .45, but I picked up some in .40 S&W and I have to agree it was downright dirty. No problems with jamming or anything, though.

is OK

I've had no trouble with it. Good for the price.

My experiences with the 45 ACP are pretty much the same as the majority here--generally feeds and extracts fine, but a little on the dirty side.

Decent plinking ammo, zero malfuntions in my Kimber. Maybe a little dirty but you gotta clean them anyway. The ammo I shot was loaded into CCI brass.

hmmm...i bought 500 rounds of it in .45 because it was on sale and i promptly used it all up. No issues at all and i did not find it to be dirty at all. If I ever see it on sale again, I will probably buy 1k or 2k of the stuff.
