.22 Comptetitions
What types of competitions are available for just .22's? I know this is an open ended question, but wondering if there were common events that are limited to .22 - I have a Ruger Govt. Comp model and a Browning Medalist and would like to maybe start shooting competitively. Neither has any type of optical sight.

Find out where there is a gun club in your area. I joined one and we shoot 50 ft. bullseye "postal" leagues. Postal meaning your scores are verified then mailed to a central office. They also do sporter-rifle and pin shooting. If your looking to shoot IPSC or IDPA some clubs are affiliated with them as well.
