My first Colt!!!
I recently traded into my first colt 1911. I traded my HK USP 45 full size and a little cash for a tricked out FEG Hi Power and a uncommon Colt 1911. The Colt is a 1991A1 officers slide mounted on a full size frame. I wasn't sure how much I would like this combo, but I love it! It feeds everything well, from hollow points to wad cutters and is very accurate. The original owner had a Wilson Combat beaver tail grip safety added as well as a sweet trigger job. I couldn't be more pleased. I have owned 6 or so 1911's from Armscor to Springfield, but this is my first real Colt. Pics to come later, just had to share my joy!

Congrats... COLT makes an excellent 1911!
Like you, have owned an SA Mil-Spec and several ATIs... decided to sell-out of them and stay with COLT for my 1911s. Liked my O1991 'full-size' so much got a Commander! Both are great shoots and super accurate. Enjoy. |
