Bullseye & JSWC?

I just stepped up from Berry's to the Hornady 200 C/T jacketed SWC.

(They call it "Combat/Target")

I was surprised to see that there was no listing in the Hornady manual for this bullet and Bullseye. They use it for the 185, but not for the 200.

Surely folks load bulleye and the 200 SWC...

I see lots of listings for LEAD semi wadcutters, but not for jacketed.

What say you, experts?

Start with the starting load for lead SWC's and work up from there. Lead loads are generally reduced from jacketed loads so you will be just fine. You will need to work up to find out what cycles your gun reliably and is accurate. Be sure to pay attention to your overall length, too. Don't seat them too deep as that can raise pressure.

Good luck!

PS: Work up loads in 10-15, just in case they don't cycle your gun. That way you won't have a bunch of rounds that you have to manually rack in the chamber to shoot....or alternately a bunch of rouds to pull.

In my Hornady manual (I just assumed you loading .45ACP?, if not ignore the rest of this reply & tell us what caliber) 8th edition, 200 grain FMJ c/t (discontinued) shows bullseye 5.0 - 5.4-5.7. Same as the 200grain HP-XTP. Hope this helps.
