shell holder question

does anyone know of an RCBS extended shell holder for a 220 swift. the regular length shell holder is a #11, but i cannot find an extended one for the swift. Can I use a #3 extended shell holder (22-250) for the swift???

I'm curious. Why do you need an extended holder for the Swift?

Extended Shell Holder

I found an extended shell holder for my .22 Hornet at Redding.
I know RCBS does not make what you want. Try redding.

I'm still not quite understanding why you need the extended version of a Swift shell holder? Your ram will go all the way to the top of the stroke, yes?

What won't work about the regular shell holder?

Just curious, that's all.

RCBS' competition seating dies (windowed style) require short cases (308 and shorter) to use an extended shell holder that will avoid mounting the die so low that the window is obscured by the press and/or lock ring.

unless i am doing something wrong, to seat bullets in a swift with a RCBS 22 caliber competition die, you have to screw down the adjustment dial almost untill it bottoms out, which is out of the measurement area of the die, therefore i thought that an extended shell holder is what i needed.

i am not saying that i am doing everything correctly either................
