Mini-Palma

Hello, I came across a site for free targets.. I found some called Mini-Palma designed for .22 L.R. prone at 100yds. with irons & sling. The high-power Palma is still being shot..So why did the NRA drop the Mini-Palma? This looks to be a fun and challenging match...As well as a very historical one..going back to the long-range international matches at Creedmoor of the 1870's. I wonder why it was dropped?

A lot of clubs shoot versions of the Palma in less then formal matches. I ran matches that included 20 shots at 50yds,20 at 100yds and 20 at 200yds. It was great fun but just for bragging rights.
