.355 and .356 9mm?
Guys and Girls,
Im new to handgun shooting and reloading. I looking at reloading and I see some 9mm bullets state .355 size and lead cast 9mm bullets state .356 size. will both of these sizes fit 9mm brass? |

The lead bullets are made slightly oversize because sealing the bore is more critical with them and they are soft enough to form to size in the barrel when fired. Some guns even like them 0.002" over standard bullet diameter (.357').

Ok thanks for the info. I was noticing the lead cast were cheaper.

Some 9mm barrels have oversize groove diameters
I've seen .357" and some friends say they have .358" groove diameter. If you are having unexplained Leading using .356" bullets, slug your bore, especially at the breech end and you might get a surprise.
A Lead bullet under groove diameter will usually cause lots of Leading. CDD |

355 cast are terrible in glocks. you need 356. NO I do not own a Glock ! 356 has worked best in every gun i have loaded for, including revolvers. S&W 547.
