Glock 19

Alot of people don't find alot to like about Glock's. But all aspects considered... From price, to ease of maintainance, availability of parts, resistance to corrosion, reliability, DAO, and lack of any manual safeties to mess me up. If you didn't learn on a 1911 or such, the glock grip angle and trigger don't bother you. But to me, it is only a carry piece... I do not sport-shoot with it.

Now if it were only a little slimmer.

Not to be "motherly" but some of the replies being made to new members are not TFL material.

Aspen started a thread to announce which firearms in his collection were his favorites and expects us to do the same. So, to keep the topic going:

Luger .30
USP .45
Kimber .45
Star 9mm Largo

Luger: I've always wanted a Luger and I did buy mine in the original .30 instead of the highly sought 9mm. Call me whatever but I wanted the original caliber and yes I pay the extra cost in ammo but that is what I wanted.

USP and Kimber: I love the .45 caliber and I like the way they feel. The Kimber is a single stack and is more of a 1911 varient and had to have a 1911 of some sort. The USP is a double stack, 12 round mags now available, and actually feels good in my hands even through I don't like the feel of most double stack grips.

Star 9mm Largo: This gun is just fun, a 1911 varient without the grip safety, expensive but the cartriage is cool.

My favorites. All Model 28-2's. The two grey ones I had refinished last summer. Parkerizing with a Polymer coating. I have many handguns that I like but these are the top of my crop. Don't tell the others or they'll get jealous.

My bad to USP and Aspen

Just trying to bring a little "levity" to our reading. I enjoy when other members do this as well. Also didn't understand the question (or statement).

My favs are my Colt .45 and my Beretta 92. Like Aspen... I sometimes take 'em out just to say "hey" to 'em. So I guess my advice was more to myself than anyone else!

I only have two pistols,

A revolver and an auto. But I find the Revolver more fun to "fondle".
so many moving spinning parts. Nice delicate curves, pleasing to hold, I better stop now before I go any further.......

Gosh,
TODAY's two favorites would be...
S&W 586
Ruger MkII Gov't
While one is beautiful to behold and both are wonderful to shoot, they both make me look like I can actually, almost, shoot a little. Which is pret' near high praise.

Tomorrow, I might be feeling a bit different... Ya know?
