FIST #43 Belt Slide and IWB Clip. Do you have one?

I'm looking for a good holster and am seriously considering getting the #43 FIST holster. I need a OWB and IWB holster. This one acts as both, which is appealing.

If you have one of these can you comment on how well it functions? Does it actually work well as OWB and IWB or does it do both poorly?

Rob makes a truly simple and well made holster; not like the FIST #43 but like the FIST #14. You just have to pay the extra $10 to have it convertible to IWB and you are all set.

I personally dislike IWB. I only do so when I absolutely have to; and it does happen occasionally, but rarely. And when those rare occasions come up, just a couple of minutes putting on the loops and done deal. The minute that I am done with the IWB time, off come the loops and back to business as usual.

I have tried quite a number of different IWB holsters, mainly for 1911s, and the closest that I have come to "comfort" is my simply ruggeds. There are probably other diehard IWB guys that can help with "really good" IWB rigs, but as infrequently as I use them, having the convertible set up, that is still pretty comfortable as IWB, is the ticket for me.

That is a very nice holster and $10 cheaper than the FIST holsters. Do the simply Rugged holsters have reinforced openings?

I have owned and used both of these holsters for some time and can comment quite favorably on both of them. I find the #43 a bit "handier" but that is my preference. Both are excellent.

Not on any of mine, hence the "Simply" part.

I have never had any problems due to the lack of reinforcement. It does take a little more effort to reholster, but nothing like rocket science.
