Need some kind of belt holster and ammo pouches for the Beretta 92 for open carry and IDPA style shoting. She has tried my Blade Tech for a .45 and did not like how it sits on her waist. Right now she is using my military web belt and holster.

What has worked for women in the past and are there any recommendations on where to find more info on this subject.

Thanks

Most women need an offset holster to be comfortable and to allow the gun butt not to dig into their ribs
Usually the required offset is 3/4 to 1 1/4"
Offsets in this range allow the handgun to ride vertical on the woman's hip.
Both my Lady Offset and Blade-tec's offset drop holster have been approved for women only in IDPA competition.

My holster rides around 1 1/5" higher than Blade-tec's. I found that the drop holsters need even more offset than a higher rideing holster.

I hope this helps you some.

Is their a rule of the thumb to determine how much offset is needed without trying on several holsters?

I take a regular belt holster and hold it against her hip so the holster is vertical
then measure the distance from the holster belt loop to her belt. The idea is to get the holster vertical when she wears it
