FL Training class locations

Hey Guys,

I am really excited about the thought of getting my Concealed Weapons Permit in FL. I am having a hard time finding a class that is sooner then later. Does anyone know of any sites I can check on classes. I checked the NRA website and there was not much where I live. I live on the east coast of Florida right near Cape Canaveral.

Just about all of the gun shows have classes. There is one quite often in Melboune and Orlando, both fairly close to you. However, the next one that I see on the calendar is West Palm on May 26-27. There's going to be a small show in Sebastin, the last week-end of April sponsored by the Amerian Legion there, but I'm not aware if classes will be held or not.................ck

P.S. Are you ex military? Is so, all you need is a dd214.............

your best choice is a gun show.if you were in the service you do not need the class. if you go through the gun show they do your finger print and pictures all you have to do is send in your money and prints and pictures,

I would check with a gun shop. Many of them give classes and if they don't they would certainly know where one is.

Why not just take a day trip to the nearest course if nothing is immediately available to you? I had to take a course that was an hour away from me because there are no ranges nearby (I live in NJ).

Are there any ranges or gun clubs near you? If so, try contacting them about a course.

There's probably a CCW class offered somewhere every day in Florida. Inquire at gun shops, Google "Gun shows in Florida" etc., and you'll see the entire schedule. Most offer four classes. This weekend (April 21-22) the big show is in Tampa. Make it a day and see a good show while you take in a CCW class. Costs usually $35-$60.
