Chokes and slugs
Hi,
I just wanted to ask if it is save to shoot brenneke slugs out of a barrel with a improved cylinder choke? I have a short double from baikal and shot about thirty of them through it, after taking out both cylinder and improved cylinder chokes the improved cyl. choke has a thick layer of lead on it. The cylinder choke only a little bit. I know that the much tighter improved cylinder ''compresses'' the slug, is that dangerous? Thanks! |

Very safe and that choke is considered one of the better for accuracy.

Brenneke slugs are safe in all chokes, but don't take my word for it. Check the Q&A section at Brenneke's web page (it's under products).
