A Pair of Lewis

Here are my main two pistols I use at Friendship. They are both 32's. The cap
has a Ed Rayle barrel and the flint has a Green Mountain. They are about 15 years old. Have won many a match. Only cleaned with water and then a thin
layer of WD-40. I shoot Hornady "0" Buck and use a .010 patch. Load is 15 grs
of Swiss. These shoot very well.

This was shot with the Caplock

Shot with the flintlock

They don't much resemble what I wear around the farm here, but they definitely get the job done! Good shootin'!

Why such a small projectile? It would seem to me that, within reason, the larger the ball the higher the score. That is, wouldn't the larger ball cut a larger hole and thus provide you with a slight bit more of a competitive edge?

Nope, because scoring is from the center of the hole. Doesn't matter if you shoot
a 58 caliber or a 22' the center of the hole is the same.

What's seen. Looks like those B/P pistols would give my S&W 41-a run for its money.
No doubt about this though} Some pretty good shoot'in their pilgrim.
