As I understand it using brass blackpowder shotgun shells in one of the new replica 1897 pump shotguns would severely limit brass life because the cases would have to be crimped. Is that true? If so is there anyway to cycle the cases through the pump without crimping?

Howdy Kenneth,
Not sure why you'd want to use brass in your '97,but for them to feed, they would have to be crimped. If you want to use brass shells,do so in a SxS,but stick to paper or plastic shells in your pump gun. Bellicose Bill |
