Tactical reasons I want these guns made

I like short rifles and big bore handguns. The tacticle reasons are obviouse.

The short rifle with enough power will handle most confrontaions and it will be much more handy than a long rifle. It will hide better untill you need it and if it is the right rifle you won't look threatenning till it is too late.

The model 94 Winchester Trapper in the new 500 smith caliber would be a heck of a gun.

There is no gun that handles or feels better to me than the Browning High Power. I want it in 45 Gap.

a bhp in 45 is basicaly just a 1911. the 500 will most likely never be available in a 94 action for the same reason the 454 never was, too much power for it to handle. maybe in a blr

I've had my heart set on a Winchester in 500 mag ever since that ctg was introduced. The folks at Winchester said that such a critter could be made on whatever frame that fires the 45-70. But, they said nobody was really contacting them and requesting such a thing be made and offered. If you've got a suggestion they encourage folks to contact any of their Service Reps or Secretaries and tell them you would like to submit an official request. Maybe with the right amount of suggestions, they would look at a new market niche for the .460 mag, .500 mag, and .480 Ruger.

In function yes but the grip is wider and would hold more ammo. It also feels much better in the hand. It was John Brownings last design.

The Win XTR with the reinforced side rails in .307 and .357 Winchester would for sure hold the .500 S&W!

Have you looked at Wild West Guns? They have a lot of Marlin lever action project guns / take down guns and so forth that they build even including short barreled lever actions for wilderness carry or police entry gun use -- do a web search and check out their site --- I was very impressed last time I was there, due to the nature of the beasts that they have up there they have some pretty intresting stuff --- think they are the onews who will even ream out a 480 ruger super red hawk to 475 linbagh, now that must be intresting in a 2 inch alaskan!!! Maybe they could help you out with the 500 smith magnum or make it a regular item if there is a market, Wildalaska I belive works there maybe he can chime in with more info.

That AR in 458 is going to be an M-4 right

In the 94 Trapper it is a short rifle, meaning you don't have a long tube for ammo. The 4570 is too long of a round but the 500 is short and more firepower for the short range it is intended for.

Short guns are a better deal for alot of reason, look at the M4. You can have the good handy utillity and power that is needed for the general short ranges self defense is normaly fought at.

M 25 . . .

Perhaps I can solve part of your "wish list"; the CZ 97B (10+1) essentially is quite similar to the BHP, but is .45 ACP.
