Look what followed me home yesterday.......

Yesterday I stopped by my local gun store and wanted a spare magazine for my Springfield Armory XDs. I started browsing.......and now have a new everyday carry gun. I picked up a Colt New Agent Lightweight Talo edition 1911. Here are a few pics of the new carry rig.

Now that makes five 1911's in the stable.

A mite more expensive than that spare mag.

I really like your new Colt/holster set-up. Looks to be a very nice ccw rig. What caliber is it? I'll be interested in your follow-up range report.

Still got that spare mag too...

The new Colt is a .45 ACP. Look forward to putting a couple hundred rounds down range tomorrow.

Good looking New Agent, congratulations!

I've had one for four years and love it although I'll admit long range sessions can be a bit punishing given it's petite size.

It's accurate and reliable . Mine prefers Remington Golden Saber 230 gr jhp ammo, FWIW.

Coltman, is yours a carry gun or strictly a range gun. Mine will be the primary carry gun after running some ammo through it.

Very nice...I'm really considering a micro 1911.
Just a little iffy about anything smaller than the 4' barrel.

I carry it quite often.

Constantine... I think you can breathe easy regarding the short barrel. Mine hasn't missed a beat, except for a problem that was taken care of by a Colt recall. That probably sounds like faint praise.... what I'm trying to say is that I've had NO problems due to the short barrel. Kind of wish I had sights (other than trench sights) on mine, but for a carry pistol, the trench sights are fine.

OP - awesome looking pistol!

Hmm... I thought all New Agent's had the trench cut top sight? Nice to know that they have dovetailed sights now. Maybe only on the Talo.?.?.?

Don't you just hate it when things follow you home?

Very nice - enjoy!
