Charles, I saw your article about the 1999 IDPA Nationals in the new GunGames. Nice job. I was there and you told the story well. We probably won't make it to KY. Locally we will have the Ohio State shoot in June and the West Virginia State shoot in Sept. Hope the KY shoot goes well. Bill (High Old Guy)

Thirty-one days away, but who is counting to the first ever KY IDPA State Match. It will be great!! Hey Charles, I saw a Park Avenue auto parked in the pits. Now I wonder what that is for?

Louisville to Lexington on I-64 is about 70 minutes. Take exit 113 (27/68) turn right on 68 (Broadway St.) straight thru Lexington and stay on 68 (now Harrodsburg Rd) for twenty minutes or about 12 miles south of Lexington. Ignore the first state road 29 which turns left to Nicholasville. But shortly thereafter there is a "Y" with a Marathon station in the middle. Turn left at "Y" following the second 29 south thru Wilmore past Asbury College. Approx 2 miles south of Wilmore off 29 is Handys Bend Road on Left. Turn left and follow to end. Blue Grass Sportsman's League, 2500 Handys bend Rd, Wilmore, KY. Or go to Yahoo.maps with address.

The answer to your question is twenty to twenty five minutes depending on how fast you drive. BGSL is a 1400 acre private club open to public for certain events. Open to public on First Sunday of Month is USPSA three gun match, Second Sunday is Bullseye, Third Sunday is IDPA, Fourth Sunday is Cowboy. Once on the fifth Sunday in October we are home to the Regional GSSF match.BGSL is also home for the State SASS (cowboy) match. But third weekend of April is IDPA State Championship. Pre-registration is necessary. It will be great!!

Wow, fourteen stages of mayhem. What twisted mind thought these stages up? Oh, Charles. I rest my case!! Great IDPA match. Hope you get a chance to shoot it.
