I knew that son and myself had drawn elk and deer tags for area 15. Just opened DOW envelope and the deer area has had pups.LOL. Elk remains in 15, deer tags are now good in 15,35,36 and 45. I don't understand the increase but I'm not complaining.

Dan,
Take a look at the big game brochure. Area 15 has 35, 36 & 45 listed as additional units from the git-go. Congrats on the draw. Always nice to get final confirmation with tags in hand. |

Thought about my post, Dan & hope you didn't take it as any kind of slam.
Ran across the same thing when "advising" my bud for the early season elk-only hunt in our "area." Said to put down area 11 & he's all flustered about the "we want to do 25 & 26 ... what's that all about" .... yada+ & we got to go through some of the area coverages .... A big "extra-area" coverage for some of 'em - depending & thought that might have been what you ran into where you got your "extra areas" is all. A quick look-see at the brochure showed that to be the case - hey! a perk fer nuttin'! Fingers crossed, but with the fires here out west, I'm countin' on those extras for a very good hunt this fall .... an extra area to scout 'n hunt may be end up being a good thing ..... |

LOL, no offense taken.Believe it or not, we wanted elk in 15 and I never looked at brochure....simply got the hunt code from it.Fine print has never been my big thing.Didn't really expect to draw deer. just thought I'd apply and cover bases.
