arisaka type 30 carbine

i have a type 30 carbine with a rough bore, is it possible to put a type 35 or 38 carbine barrel on it

still functioning type 30s are getting to be very rare...I would just buy a type 38 or 99 and let the 30 appreciate in value, the barrels cost dang near as much as the rifles anyway.
