I shot a Mossberg 340-KC this past weekend,,,

It's an older rifle but in very fine condition,,,
No surface rust and the stock has only a few minor dings.

The rifle has a peep sight mounted on it,,,

I do believe this sight was added after he gun was purchased.

The rifle functioned very well,,,
And with only a small tweak to the sight,,,
I was popping water bottles filled with kitty litter at 75 yards.

This rifle belonged to a dear friend of mine who recently passed away,,,
I'm storing her guns until her brother can come from California to get them.

I am somewhat enamored with this elderly Mossberg,,,
It's front sight is hooded on the long 24 " barrel,,,
I just like everything about this .22 LR shooter.

I checked in the 2010 Standard Catalog of Firearms,,,
They didn't think very much of any of the Mossberg rifles,,,
They basically lumped about 30 models together and valued them at $100.00.

I'm going to offer her brother $175 for the rifle,,,
I will raise that to $200.00 if necessary.

Do you gentlemen think that's a fair price for it?

What you have is one cherry Mossy, probably the nicest 340 I've seen.
I would not hesitate to pay $200. Checkout rimfirecentral.com. Post on there.
