Concealed carry in our nations capital?
Concealed carry in our nations capital? would you do it ? Can you do it? I am planning a little trip to DC and am wondering whether I should carry my weapon that I normaly carry everywhere except for work .I plan on visiting the capital , the Smitsonian and maybe even the white house . These are places Im pretty sure are off limits to carry a weapon ,but I dont want to feel vulnerable to such a crime infested city. what are the laws and the hazards? any opinion would be of interest.........LOUD

Don't even think of bringing a pistol into DC. Don't even bring ammunition - you can go to jail for that too.
Virginia is a civilised place; not so the nation's Capitol. |

What you're proposing to do is illegal. You can go to jail for a nice long time and lose your Second Amendment rights.
That should be everything you need to know. On further consideration and discussion with the OP, I'm reopening this.
