The automatic pool cleaner has a bumper bar on the front to help it move away from the walls. Hayward recently started manufacturing the bars in China, and they don't last worth a hoot. They break just in front of the mounts. I took two .40 S&W casings, sawed off the heads and used them as a splice by jamming the bar back into place - no screws, just tension. Gave me an extra month or so of life on the cheap plastic bar. And the brass is chemical resistant!

The hole puncnh can be used as a wad cuter; just use the inside champhering toll to dial in a diameter. A 45 colt with the base drilled out with a 7/16 drill bit or bored on a lather makes a great muzzle protector fo a 50 cal muzzle loader-- just watch how most folks skew the ramrod up against the muzzle- hard not to. Nice little quick gift for muzzle loading friend.
