South Carolina Weapon Laws

First of all, let me say that i understand that any oPinions expressed here are simply opinions and may or may not be accurate and I understand that none of these opinions hold up in court.

My question is this, where is a good place to read up on weapons laws for SC? There Are some issues I'm a little shady on. For instance Ive heard that its ok for an 18 year old to own a handgun in SC, but I've also heard that law is no longer in effect, or never went through ect. Can anyone clarify that?

Also what kind of restrictions are there on knives? Concealed? Unconcealed? Lengths? That kind of stuff. My understanding is that anything anything over 2" concealed is a crime. Does unconcealed include clipping on the insIDE of your pocket where the top sticks out?

Thanks

Here is a place to start.

BarryLee has already pointed you to one very good resource.

Here are the SC statutes: http://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/statmast.php

I am not a South Carolina lawyer, and I am not your lawyer, but it looks like Title 16, Chapter 23 may be a good place to start: http://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t16c023.php

A little old but it does look like SC consideres knives with blades over 2-inches to be weapons. Not clear if they would count as concealed weapons as the exemption for dirks is listed which is a longer fixed blade knife.
