I'm having a hard time finding the answer to this problem. Many magazine article and gun smiths say that you can run 9x23 in a 38 Super chamber. If so can you use 9mm dies to reload 38 super cartidges? Dillon says that thier 9mm dies are good for 9x19 and 9x23 but were kinda lost when asked about 38 super. They do have a separate 38 Super die set. Many brass makers say the 9x23 will work for 38 super if you have the right extractor. Any info would be appreciated.

Be careful here! A correct extractor is a place to start, but if the brass pushes too far into the barrel you may get excess headspace problems. Some .38 super barrels position (chamber)on the semi-rim and others on the mouth of the case. The 9X23 is a round that positions on the mouth. So, it depends on the individual barrel you have.
And finally, some super chambers are pretty large in diameter. I suggest that you test on a Ransom Rest and mike the cases. |

.38 Supers have used the mouth for headspace for many years. It does pay to check.
