Honestly it looks like a bunch of stuff just hung on the pic rail of an Xfive that has a new style slide. Which isn't a bad thing just doesn't blow me away. Changing the rear sight is hardly a huge deal either.

Now if it CAME with all that stuff included THAT would be cool. Im sure you're gonna have to buy it afterwards.

I remember falling in love with that video and the print ad when they first came out.
If I remember right, Venom, each model will come with certain things and you'll be able to buy the other stuff as well.

I want one so badly and I'm guessing they'll be about 1000-1500 depending on the model in my neck of the woods.

This, sigsauer.de, says the Supermatch version will be out on the 15th of August. Can't find a price or if they'll even be available in the U.S. though

The base model "X-Press" I think it's called, came out in June

Sexy!

And we're talking Sig, so we know the quality will be there. Very interesting...

as a sig sauer fan, and owner of a few of them
I love my sig's but can not justify a pistol like that since I am not a competition shooter by any means at all.
sexy gun but much like really hot women, expensive to acquire an more expensive to maintain.

Very nice, but I would agree, easily in the $2500 + price range. If you have the spare change, enjoy!

I felt the same way and couldn't really justify spending that much on what I would describe as a competition pistol however a few years ago I came across an X-5 Tactical at a very good price and eventually talked myself into purchasing it. While it isn't a competition model, it was afforadable, satisfied my impulse to own an X-5, and a pleasure to shoot at the local range.

I'm not into all that bolt-on stuff. I'm so impressed with my X-Five Competition, I honestly don't know what could be done to make it better. The last thing I'd want is a bunch of bolt-on doo dads making it heavier.

About the only thing that would get me to part with more money would be a titanium frame.

Seems they are trying to fill alot of shoes here. Nothing wrong with that, for sure. I like the added range of slide lengths and accessories. Will be everything from pinkin(well if plinking is the correct term with an X series) to full blown compitetion. Added weights, sights, optics, wow, that's alot to take in. Always wanted an Xfive, guess we will see what will happen here.

Added: looking to thin the herd to make some cash for something new, lol.
