Best Paint For 870 Exp Wood?

i have a light colored stock that i would like to darken with a hard durable finish. please give suggestions.

If you want, you can buy a set of black synthetic stocks for the 870 in many places for about $50. They would be very durable, and you would still have your wood stocks as well.

Easiest method would be to strip the old finish off, stain with a walnut water stain, then finish with a few coats of polyurethane.

Strip the finish, sand smooth, spray a couple coats of camo flat black spray paint, few coats of poyurethane (flat satin NOT glossy), then 000 steel wool.
