Rossi 877

I just picked up a Rossi 877 .357 snubbie and wanted to know what folks thought about this weapon.

I have fired it with both .357 and .38s and found both were easy to shoot well, though with .38s it was like popping caps, relatively speaking.

We'll see how it holds up to daily packing now that its coming up on summer but being SS and small enough to throw in a pocket or a daypack I'm not too worried.

I had one Rossie in .357 a SS snubby six shot, very nice shooter and easy to carry. Wish my dept allowed them....had to give it up.

Got any pics?
I'm not too familiar with their model line-up,and am in the market for a snub.
I'd like to give it a chance in the running.

The metal treatment might be best retained by using 38 Specials for its steady diet (and I'd be comfortable with a Rossi by limiting it to 38 Special only).

That looks like a keeper to me. I have a SS model 88 in 38 spl that I take to the range from time to time. I don't use +P in mine but I would that that nice stainless you have there. I believe that beefy .357 design would handle it well.

My wife knows how to post pics but shes in the middle of finals so I'll have to wait till she has the time to do it\show me.

But it is the same as the one pictured except for the barrel markings.

if that sucker is reliable I would carry it in a second. Even if it turns out not to be a real durable gun that will take thousands of rounds i imagine it will take a long time to wear out since you probably won't be plinking with it every weekend.

Saw Rossi snubbys both blued and SS in .357 at the gun show this afternoon at a dealers table. Near $400.00 a copy!

$400 Wow! They're pretty proud of those. I hope they at least came with that nice cardboard box.

Mine was bought new in 2006. Converted the high polish finish to a brushed finish and installed Pachmayr compacts on it.46202 left.jpg
