Help Reloading

Hi,

Question for all of you. I live in the DFW Metro area and am trying to find someone locally who can reload ammo for me. I bought some ammo online thinking it was the whole deal and when I got it it was only the bullet itself nothing else. Was wondering if someone could use them and make them into a bullet for me and if so how much would you charge? I have 200 bullets. OR... is it possible to just sell them to someone on here? They are 124 grain Speer Gold Dot 9mm so they are good bullets that's why I don't just scrap them and try again.

Unless someone has an FFL to manufacture ammunition you are pretty much out of luck if you intend to pay someone for making you ammunition. The other issue is safety and insurance. Most common people don't have insurance to cover themselves making ammo for someone else. No one wants to be liable for your gun blowing up in your face because of their mistake.

Most of the folks here on this board won't make ammo for anyone but themselves.

Take option 2. Someone will buy them. Its a whole lot easier than trying to stay legal by technicality.

Of course there is the other option. . . . . . reloading is quite enjoyable and doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get started. . . . . . . . for $150 you could be shooting your own hand rolled ammo by the weekend.

I would recommend you sell the bullets and buy yourself some premium factory JHP ammunition.

larzb93, I paid $30/50 so how about just $50 for all 200?

amathis, I don't know how to reload and while I would love to learn I am afraid I would screw something up and cause a lot of problems both ethically and legally. I guess I could reload but would be afraid to reload SD ammo, would only do it for plinking ammo.

Reloading is not rocket science, though it does involve smoke and flame and things that go very fast. With care and assiduously following directions it is safe and rewarding beyond the cost savings (which cost savings for 9mm are, unfortunately, not that much).

But it is relaxing and fun.

I encourage you to consider it. If you don't, years from now, when you do start, you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner.
