Brass Black Question ??
Often times, I repair, restore and make new RamRods for older sidelocks and kit rifles. I try to stay with good old hickory. If tips are provided that is good but often I have to provide some new ones. The smaller calibers are the biggest challenge. .....
Anyway, I'm about to run out of the Brass-Black that I have had for a long time. I know I can buy commercial but got to thinking about what the chemical is and perhaps come up with my own. Obviously I use the Brass-Black to match the older look. Do any of you guys know of a recipe that I might try? If not, what do you guys use? Any and all info would be appreciated. .......
