Cabelas Pine Ridge Scope problem

Scope is several years old and is mounted on a new Savage 93R17.
It is a Pine Ridge (Cabelas) 3 X 9 with side focus knob.
When scope is set on 4X target is clear at 50 yds. Then look at 100 yd. target and it is blurry. Adjusting focus knob had no effect on clarity.
First 2 rds @ 50 yds. were bullseyes. Next 3 were +2" high or low and +1" right or left.
This was typical of the next 4 5 round groups, even used a different shooter.
Cleaned rifle after several times with no change.
Need someone with more knowledge of scopes then I have to explain what is happening.

Get a better scope. I purchased a muzzle loader with a pine ridge scope on it. Couldn't shoot decent groups with it so I took it off. When removed it had large dents in it from normal scope rings. The tube was over sized. I put it in my junk draw. Later, I took the etched glass reticle out of the scope and glued it to a image intensifier in DIY night vision scope. Which shoot 1" groups at night.

I have used pine ridge on my muzzleloader and shotgun for deer hunting. Diamond reticle. It wasn't very expensive at all and it worked great. Been banged around a bit and none the worse for wear.

Most of Cabela's stuff seems to be rebranded. I forget what model mine was identical, but it was something far more expensive under the original brand. Good value for me.

Something is loose inside your scope. You could try Cabelas to see if they will warranty the scope, or just buy another.
