Gun Show finds . . .

Forum Followers:

Went to gun show in Belleville IL this morning.

Scored on:

Spare mag for my Buckmark Contour 7.25.

3/4 inch scope rings to use with used Bushnell scope I bought last time. Will
mount on my Henry 22.

A Bersa Thunder 380 CC model. Will pick up next Thursday. Look for range report in a week or so.

500 coated 45 acp 230 gr from "Hot Lead"

And I sold my Keystone Pro Hunter.

As usual, you have to know the value of things. Saw some way over priced handguns.

What have you picked at a gun show or auction lately?

Went to a show last weekend, and ended up buying a S&W 4566 Tactical model that just seemed too good to pass up. I have too many guns laying around here, but at 345.00 I just couldn't leave it sitting there. The pistol was in nice shape and shoots good, with my only problems being the Hogue grips (I hate big old Hogue grips) and burned out night sights. I picked up an original grip from Ebay for 20 bucks, and a standard set of sights from Midway for 30 bucks. Good to go.....somewhere I guess....maybe in the back of the safe.

Picked up a Desert Eagle conversion kit (from 44-to-357) for $150.

I picked up and probably over payed for a 1978, 94 Winchester ($550). Thing is, it was in such pristine condition and after detail stripping it I would be surprised if it had a box of rounds put through it.

Not much! The last gun I purchased at a gun show was a Ruger Single 10 .22lr. It was a fair price and I'm saving it for when my kid starts to shoot handguns.

Let's see, I bought a 50 round drum for my Glock 17......yep, just because I can!

I swapped into a M 1917 by Winchester that had been sporterized long ago, maybe before WW II. It had an amazing high-end stock and lots of other seldom seen touches. It's now in 9.3 X 62 and I'm still using it to explore this very interesting cartridge.

At the last gun show I went to, the only thing they had at a price I was willing to pay was barbecue. It was pretty good, but I can get good barbecue without buying an admission ticket.
