Pocket pistols!
Seems that if you own one, you need a half dozen or more!
I only have 8 but want more... O have become fond of 2" Snubbies since getting my Chief's Special! ZVP |

I'm fond of pockets myself... got pocket revolvers that range from 22lr, to 45 Colt... plus I collect antique pocket revolvers, so I have couple dozen in 32 & 38 S&W... so... yeh... I pretty much got the fever...
my 1st moden snubbie was an Air Weight J frame 6 shot 32 H&R magnum

I agree they are a bit habit forming. For me 1 has turned into 7 S&W's, 2 Colt's, 5 pre 1900 pocket pistols, and 4 bottom feeders.

I do own a number of snub revolvers but love the pocket pistols as well.
The Taurus 732 (no longer made), the Beretta 3032, and the NAA Gaurdian (.32ACP) are in the CCW battery or used as backup guns.

I love my S & W 642 Airweight. It is accurate and hard hitting with +P ammo. On warm days I can slip it in my pocket and go.

"pocket" pistols
I have a real fondness for them as well. I have six 2" revolvers; two 38Sp, two 38S&W, one 32S&WL, and one 32S&W, plus one semi-auto in 32ACP.
Just comforting to be able to slip one of the above into a pocket. |

Colt Agent, Colt Cobra, S&W 36-1, Taurus 605, NAA Black Widow, Taurus TCP, Ruger LCP, Beretta Tomcat, Taurus Ply22, Kahr CM9 and several old topbreaks are in my pocket arsenal. I guess they are addicting huh?

Ruger LCP, S&W 637-2, Colt Vest Pocket .25ACP here. I carry the first two regularly. I've really got my eye on a Browning Baby.
Oops, forgot about my Model 60, on loan to my daughter. Extemely fine snubby, even if it's a bit heavy for the pocket. Last edited by spacecoast; December 12, 2012 at 08:38 PM. |

Though the little .25ACP is anemic it does have a following and is still produced. I own just one,a vintage Galesi thayt still needs a break-in. I really don't carry it. But do shoot it sand remedy it's fine machining. It was tooled even the sight groove! Fit and finish are old school European.
Maybe that is my attraction to the pistol I do doubt the power of the cartridge but still it is better to have 6 bullets than a bare hand... I much prefer the .22lr because you tend to practice more with a .22. ZVP |

I like 'em small. My first gun was a Raven .25 and I often carry a NAA .22 magnum mini. My idea of a "full size" gun is a 2" snub.

In my experience, revolvers make the ideal pocket guns because they can offer a cartridge of respectable power in a package compact enough to fit in a pocket with rounded contours that don't print as noticeably. Colt D-Frames are nice in that they hold six shots, but the slightly smaller S&W J-Frames seem to fit most pockets more easily.

I love small frame snubbies. I've been collecting Detectives, Cobras, and Agents for years. I never, however carry one in a pocket. Always in a holster most often an IWB, but frequently in a belt slide type.

When my collection was larger, pocket pistols made up a large portion of the handguns. These days the only pocket pistol I own is a S&W Airweight. My interest has shifted to larger handguns over the years since I'be settled into a carry gun.

Just got a new belt holster from Black Hills for my 637 and I love carrying it ... loaded with Hornady Critical Defense, a speed strip in my weakside pocket and I'm good to go ... also carry it in a DeSantis when pocket carrying, which is most of the year around here ...

I own dozens of pocket pistols, but the ones that get carried are:
Ruger LCP 380 with laser and +P 90 gr Gold Dot handloads. Kel-Tec P3AT 380 with pocket clip and +P handloads Kel-Tec PF9 9mm with +P+ factory ammo. The most desirable pocket pistols are the least desirable range pistols, but ya gotta keep testing them.

I own nothing with a barrel less then 4in, I'm kind of a stick in the mud though. I think they are fun to shoot I just don't see a place for them on my belt or in my pocket as the case may be. I want 45acp, 44mag/spc, 45lc, 357mag. 44mag 240g jhp or jsp at right around 1000fps is about the perfect SD round for my money. To get that out of a 2in barrel would require a bit more of a boom.
38 out of a 2in is a pleasure to shoot for anyone I have ever taught to shoot but I have gotten rid of all my snubs. If funds were endless I would own one of everything though |

But that doesn't fit very well in my khakis and button down work/life environment. Pocket carry is what I have. My approach; served me for several years, but then I've never had to pull...: ..............................................Seecamp .32......................Kahr reload ........SW 442............................Ruger LCP..........................Kahr PM9 and my NAA Black Widow .22 Mag Looks big in pictures, but it is SLIM and almost weightless. The grip is VERY slim, perfectly proportioned and disappears against your leg.

Mine is an older Colt Agent in 38 spl. 6 shot. Slips nicely in my rear jeans pocket covered by a shirttail.

Yep, the NAAs in .22 Mag are potent little pocket guns. I am also considering a S&W 351C 7-shot DAO .22 mag.
