Tokarev barrel

Does anyone's Tokarev barrel have quite a bit of play? When locking back the slide, I can move the barrel very easily. There is quite a bit of give where the slide release is inserted into the barrel lug. When inspecting the movement with the open chamber, it looks like it could pose a problem regarding the feed ramp. Is this part of the design? This is my Yugo Tok.

I am a bit confused, since the slide release is inserted through the link, not "into the barrel lug." But yes, even properly assembled, the Tokarev (and most other dropping barrel pistol) will have barrel play when the slide is back.
