I have a S & W 1300 12g pump with a 30" barrel. It is a great shotgun. Been on many duck hunting trips and has made me very happy. I just wish I could find a 26 or 28 inch barrel. Sorry I can't help you with the info you are looking for.

quick look at gunsamerica
found a couple of 1000's in the 250-300 dollar range. I believe they came out in the late seventies or early eighties and are of good quality.

The S&W Model 1000 semi-auto shotgun was made in Japan by Howa.
S&W imported these under their name from 1972 to 1984. S&W also imported the Howa Model 3000 which was a very near copy of the Remington 870 pump gun. After S&W dropped the guns, Mossberg sold them under their label for about one year. Gun Parts Corporation bought up the spare parts from both S&W and Mossberg, and list them under both labels. http://www.e-gunparts.com/ |
