Firestar M43 9mm

I recently aquired this pistol and have not had a chance to fire weapon. my question is that when I load the clip and chamber a round and remove the clip to put another round the top round has moved foward and if I leave in that position and just start ejecting rounds it will hang on that round but if I push it back and start ejecting rounds it won't hang up.
Is this a bad clip or does it need to see a gunsmith?

Normal; push the top rd back in place; reinsert magazine.

IME, the one example I shot was superbly accurate, and completely reliable.

Great (if a bit heavy) gun.
