.357 mag AA#7

I want to load some 125grain winchester HP's for my bolt action .357 rifle. I would like to use some AA#7 that I have on hand but I am getting confusing load data. My Speer book says 12.0g - 13.5g but Accurate's website shows
10.9g - 12.1g Both show the same OAL. My lyman book does not show this powder for this bullet weight. Does anyone have any experience with this powder for .357 Thanks for the help...

I use AA7 with MG 158 gr. JHP bullets. I also use Mag primers because I had plenty of them when I worked up the load. Mag primers are not needed with AA7 powder. Mag primers do raise pressure levels.

I also have the Speer book but found the data listed for max. and min. loads to be better with Accurate's listing. My load is quite accurate and works for me. I haven't check the speed of the bullet. I just want an accurate clean burning load. When you have conflicting data use the lower data and work up.

I am using 10.5g of AA7 under 158g LSWC bullets and 12g of AA7 under 125g Montana Gold HP.

QUOTE] CAUTION: The following post includes loading data beyond currently published maximums for this cartridge. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Neither the writer, The Firing Line, nor the staff of TFL assume any liability for any damage or injury resulting from use of this information. [/QUOTE]

Have a Accurate hand loaders booklet 5th edition. For 357 rifle usage the lightest bullet weight recommended is no smaller than 140 gr.
Although in there 3rd and 4th editions. It states the 125 gr. bullet can be used for rifle.

The info below is from Accurate Powders 4th edition Loading Booklet:

Suggested cartridge brass & primer are >Winchester.

No. #7 min 10.8 =1513 fps.

No. #7 Max 12.0= 1680 fps.

Please consider. The current reloading Accurate booklets do not list nor suggest the 125-gr. jacketed bullet weight be used in rifle applications.
