Beretta 1301 Mesa Tactical Urbino pistol grip stock
Just wondering if anyone has one installed on their 1301 - I got me that aftermarket pistol grip stock a couple days ago and sent it back after right after installing it on my 1301.
The stock has just two tiny ill-fitting plastic pegs that fit into the rear end of the receiver and no matter how hard I cranked down the rear stock screw it kept rotating if I bumped it hard enough. The fit between the receiver and the stock is basically just a friction fit. I've seen lots of 1301 fitted with those stocks and I have absolutely no idea how people can be happy with them. Here is a picture of the original stock (FDE) and the black Mesa Tactical Urbino stock. I put a red circle around the mounting surfaces that go into the receiver and prevent the stocks from rotating/shifting |

Thanks for pointing out that deficiency on this brand's "Urbino" stock. I wish shotgun companies would supply either pistol grip or straight/regular stocks with more built-in adjustments for LOP (length of pull), without having to go to the aftermarket. While I don't own a Beretta 1301, I've heard good things about the Magpul "SGA" stocks: https://magpul.com/firearm-accessori...s/shotgun.html I have one of these Magpul stocks on one of my Remington 870 shotguns. I understand, however, it's not a full-pistol-grip compared to the Beretta 1301 pistol-grip or the Mesa Tactical Urbino stock; plus it'll require a 1301-to-870 or 1301-to-Mossberg adapter raising the cost to the 1301 owner who wishes to convert. https://www.gggaz.com/beretta-1301-stock-adapters.html I'm not handy-enough to be able to cut down a synthetic stock and fit a recoil pad without screwing up or butchering an OEM stock
