Need your opinions on a trade!

Hey guys,

So, this whole firearms thing is a sickly terrible disease. LOL.

I was browsing FloridaGunTrader today, and someone posted a Kimber stainless pro carry II with night sights. Its two years old. He's shot it once, fed everything he put through it very reliably, and he put it in the safe.

Of course, I was originally looking for a stainless 1911, but ended up with the Sig 1911 Scorpion. Now, don't get me wrong.. I love the scorpion, but I sure do love the classic look of a stainless 1911. So I'm quite stuck with what to do.

I offered him the trade and he agree'd on a straight trade.

What are your opinions?

Trade the Sig for the Kimber?? Yay or nay?

Thanks!
Adrian

I havent had the pleasure of firing the SIG you've mentioned, the kimber however i have shot once or twice, i love my buddys

Kimber makes a good 1911, to expensive imho, but for a straight up trade, if you'd prefer the stainless look, i say go for it!!

I cant offer much insight, but the quality and rep of both firearms are very similar.

I'd never trade a Sig for a Kimber, but that's a personal experience thing.

I can't say that it's a bad trade, but I wouldn't trade my Sig 1911 to a Kimber, or anything else for that matter. Mine has found it's permanent home.

I know nothing about the Sig - but - I do have two Kimbers....

Kimber charges a lot for the name but doesn't put enough behind the name to justify what they charge.

They are accurate though, I'll give them that.

I think you're crazy if you do that. I may sign a petition to have you removed from...lol just kidding.

Seriously, don't do that. You'll regret it. I'll take what the guy who's trying to sell or trade a gun online and what he says about it, with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't do the trade.

A Kimber's what you show your friends, the SIG's what you show your foes - one's for show, the other's for go..........

Not for a Kimber. Stick with something from Colt or Springfield.

Ok, passed on the trade.. didn't realize the frame was made of aluminum! I thought it was stainless.. but the pro carry HD is the stainless version.. not what I wanted!

Even if it was SS. Don't do it. lol

By the way..We're pretty close. I'm in Miami. You're not that far from me.

Go to Big Al's Gun and Pawn. They have good used weapons there.

Don't trade that SIG. And if you must, I'll take it.

I have some stuff to trade and such too. Or cash in April.

A SIG for a Kimber? All signs point to No.

I would not do that trade. I have shot both and about a month ago come across some extra cash. Went straight to my gun guy and bought a Sig 1911 carry scorpion over the kimber that he was willing to lower the price on. Kimbers are very good guns but they were not nearly as tight as the Sig and to me just didn't feel as good in the hand
