SBR's State vs. Fed's

Will the fact that an SBR is illegal in your state keep the ATF from issueing a stamp? Trying to decide whether or not to scrap AR pistol if I can't make it an SBR eventually. Thanks for any help.

Yes, if any NFA item is not legal in your state, ATF will not approve the forms. You also won't be able to get a CLEO signoff, so the forms wouldn't make it to ATF in the first place.
