Mosin Nagant front M38 sight removal
I want to install a scout scope on M38 however from I have read it's best to install a muzzle brake to reduce the kick back and vibration that will eventually compromise the scope setting. With that said can a shade tree smitty remove the front sight? I have machine shop knowledge but I know when to draw the line before I attempt any job.
Appreciate any advice. |

Just drift off the globe and post, leave the base. Save the sight in case you want to reinstall it.
A brass punch is best when drifting these sights.
