Successful SD vs robbers in Orlando

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...,5201621.story

Apparently this happened around midnight, in an area that isn't the best in Orlando, but also isn't the worst. According to the article, the shooter noticed two guys waiting in his apartment complex. It doesn't say what made them stand out, or catch his attention, but it seems lucky for him that something about them stood out.

Most TFL members would probably be on at least some level of guard around a pair of strangers at night in a parking lot or apartment complex entryway, but what factors would we look for to confirm the threat or put us at a bit more ease?

Next: for those who don't carry because they figure they won't need it where they are going - this guy was arriving at home. Granted, if his complex has higher crime rates, he's probably aware of that.

I never trust newspaper stories to have all of the relevant facts straight. If this one did, though, this particular CCW carrier handled the situation very well, IMHO. (The way I'd have wanted to handle it, if somebody drew a gun on me and threatened my life.)

Reinforces the rule don't point a gun at someone if you are not willing to shoot. He called the BG's bluff, it seems like.
