looking for 9mm 147gr FMJ/JHP loads

For starters

4.7 gr Power Pistol
Winchester Small Pistol Primer
Winchester or Remington cases
(S&B works too, but primer pockets are usually real tight)
COL 1.125 +/- .003
Work up powder charge as you see fit based on pressure signs. This should be a pretty accurate and safe load.

VihtaVouri 3N37 is another powder used by several guys I shoot with with great results but it's pricey.

I dont have 3N37 but I have N340.

definately plan on trying PowerPistol

have VvN340,unique,titegroup,universal,wsf,longshot,powerpistol

love 124/125gr bullets with Vv N340.

dont want to pickup another powder would like to drop some of what I have but it seems to be getting harder and I only shoot 9mm and 40sw. though thinking of loading 12g shotgun.

I used 4.0 grains of Unique, when I was reloading 147 grain Jacketed 9mm. A can of Unique went a long way. 9mm is so cheap now, I bought 100, 115 grain "Value Box" at Wal-Mart for $8 ... that's 8 cents a shot ... buying jacketed bullets cost me that much ... but I got decent results with the 9mm and 147 grain bullets with Unique powder and CCI primers.

HS6 / AA5 / WAP / Silhouette / 3N37 / Power Pistol (you noticing a pattern here?)

4.5g of these works pretty good; fine-tuning load for specific gun required.

Not 'guessing'; tested.

But the best loads are 3.5 grains of Universal Clays or 4.4 grains of WSF under a 147gr. XTP. Everything else is just plain inaccurate.

I've gotten my best results (Nowlin barrel hard-fit in oneamy EAA Witnesses) using the R-P 147g FMJ over 4.6g WAP.

I spent a long time developing my current load using power pistol and 147 grain winchester JHPs, and I needed to get rid of some bullets and powder, so I threw together a load with 124 grain rainiers, whatever depth my redding comp seater was set at, and whatever amount of bullseye (Trying like heck to use up the remaining 1/3 can I had laying around for years.) that my dillon powder measure was set at (Previously set up for power pistol.), and darned if that ammo didn't outshoot anything I made before.
Go figure.
Now I gotta buy the bullets and powder I was trying like heck to get rid of for years because I didn't think they were accurate enough.
(I checked the load for safety before I assembled it.)
That load with 124hp rainiers and bullseye was more accurate, and ridiculously cheaper to load than 147 grain winchester JHPs and power pistol. (YMMV.)

So I no longer believe in blanket statements like "All other loads are innacurate", because it's simply not true.
Somebody, somewhere has great luck with a load that you never tried, or one that you couldn't get any accuracy from.
You simply can't try all combinations of powder, bullets, seating depth, different dies, etc.
That's why forums like this one are great sources for data, to avoid re-inventing the wheel.
I have to say it's most likely the dies that make it work, the combo of the EGW u series die and the redding comp seater is a match made in heaven.

Does your Bullseye/Ranier load cloverleaf at 15 yards? Further, is it a 147 grain load? Well?
