Benelli M4 Super 90 for civvies

Hi,

Anyone know if Benelli plans to import the M4 Super 90 and distribute it to civilians (probably with a straight stock and 5-shot tube) or will it be restricted to LE/Military?

From what I`ve heard.. once they get the USMC contract filled and the LE community gets what they want.. they are going to sell to civilians.. but you are correct. Straight stock and 5 shot tubes. Have to wait and see I guess.

Why a straight stock and 5 rounds only when you can get an M1 with a pistol grip and 7 rounds right now? Even in California they're legal. I think Benelli will be making a big mistake if they do this.
Well see my other post below I think its illegal if it has 7 rounds and the pistol grip.

Aren't +2 extensions available?

Well let me try and prevent confusion. I know for a fact that the Benelli M1 tactical with the pistol grip is legal in CA. I'm very fuzzy on the 2 round extension with the pistol stock though. I thought it was legal but recently I've read that the Brady bill makes a pistol gripped auto shotgun illegal unless it has a 5 round magazine or less. You can add the extension but you do it at your own risk.

In CA, you are limited to 5 round tube if you want the pistol grip.
