Lets see those range boxes!
Hey Ya'll,
Lets see your range box and how you have it organized. I need some ideas. When I go to the range I have everything stuffed in a bag, and its kinda aggravating digging through it. Post up what you use. Things that will work. I was thinking about a tackle box, but I don't see many that a pound bottle of powder will fit in. I want something big enough to put ALL my supplies for all my BP guns, that way I don't have to keep swapping stuff out when I take different calibers to the range!

I'm new to this with only 2 revolvers and I use a small tackle box. Going to get one for each gun (36 & 44 cals), though. When I go out I just fill my small powder flask, it fits fine in the box. Just need to ensure the button can't be activated. Made a little divider gizmo to secure it. That's usually enough powder for the amount of shooting I do, and the speed at which I shoot.

Yeah I have the round brass flask with a spout, but wasn't sure if I just took that how long it would last. I know I've emptied it before shooting the rifle. A small tackle box would be handier I think. Maybe I'll just get a couple more flasks. Rather than toting it ALL every time I go.

A BIG plastic tool box you can buy at W-M or the hardware stores works great for me. I've been using a mid-sized one for years. I don't keep everything in there but I drag around enough supplies to get me through a range day and cleaning.
You might want something similar to this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Stanley-Mo...enter/14146142 My range box is more like this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Stack-On-2...ellow/14958219

Powder measure
I love these Treso and CVA measures but I found I need to be able to more consistently charge the cylinder.
So I came up with a telescoping attachment for the CVA1400 and Treso Brass Flask. Made a fitting from an old spout. The tube is clear lucite. I drilled the fitting to accept the tube and then epoxied the tube into the fitting. My early design had the graduations on the tube but they wore off to quick so I marked the plunger on later versions. This one is not marked yet, but you get the idea. Diameter of the tube easily works to fill a .31 caliber revolver or larger. It also works well with charging cartridges for BPCR.

Nothing wrong with that Logan, I'll have to look for a box like that when I'm out and about. Its functional and holds everything you need. I may just build a little stand to put my cylinder press on instead of building or buying a box that would support it. Thanks for sharing. When I go to the range now it looks like a bomb went off at my shooting bench, I'll have crap EVERYWHERE

I have to straighten mine out before I dare shoot a pic of it, lol! I tend to try and stuff everything into it, and end up taking along a backpack with extra stuff as well. Of course, I like to take around 6 different pistols of varying calibers with me every time I shoot, so I do tend to lug around a bunch of stuff, lol!

Thanks doc
It seemed like a good spot for an NRA sticker I will admit that I cleaned the box up and organized it before I dared take the pics

Awesome, that is the EXACT same kind of tool box I used to carry around the flightline at Travis AFB, when I first joined the airforce. That old tool box and I shared alot of hours turning wrenches on old F.R.E.D <<<< the C-5 Galaxy's nick name (Freakin Ridiculous Economical Disaster) You can replace the first word with a more foul one as most do.
