Mossberg 500, loud safety!!! Can it be fixed?
I bought a Mossy 500 this year for slug hunting for deer and pigs. The safety is awefully loud when it engages (or disengages). There's a loud click. Can this be modified? For ducks, squirrels, etc. it would be OK, but when deer hunting, that loud click is way too much. Anyone?

my mossy 590 ( same gun but for hunting different critters) had the sameproblem when I bought it ,the solution was simple Just snap the saftey on and off again for a while to wear it in . its made out of a nylon like substance .
