Does anyone carry between the belt and pants?

I'm new to concealed carry. I found a decent holter for carrying between the belt and the pants. Does anyone else like that carry option? Pros and Cons?

I will carry that way occasionaly, as a way to turn a righthand holster into a lefthand holster. Other than that, I have not as a practice.

I believe a lot of slide holsters are worn this way. If you are carrying concealed though, it makes more sense to carry inside your pants. This is especially the case for longer barreled guns since they may peek out from under your jacket or whatever.

What type of gun do you carry? What kind of climate do you live in? That will greatly dictate the choices of reasonable concealed carry. I prefer smaller pistols such as the Glock 26 or Kahr MK9. I can pocket carry those (most prefer a pocket holster to break up the outline and cover the trigger) or inside the waist band. The gun is small enough that Galco's Ultra Deep Cover holster allows a shirt to be tucked over it. This is important for me since I live in Miami and jackets are seldom needed. Vests and extra shirts are often a dead give away that someone is packing. Fanny packs are also a dead give away.

If you are in an area where you often need a jacket, you can just go with a typical hip holster as it will be more comfortable than inside the waist band or between the belt. All you will have pressing against you is the loop for the holster rather than the gun. Again, you will need to be careful when reaching up for things or bending over since it is easier to expose the holster and gun.

Good luck and I hope the info helps. By the way... Welcome to the forum.

I carry a Kahr PM9, very small and slim and seems to be a nice fit between the belt and pants. Because the gun is so small, only a bit of the barrell peeks out from the open bottom and the trigger is completely covered. Plus, if I remove the gun and people see the "holster", it doesn't look like a holster at all.

I agree that inside the pants would hide it better, and I'm really just experimenting now to see what works for me. I'm sure I'll get one of those, but I want to go slow. A good holster is expensive and I don't want to end up with a drawer full of expensive failures, so I'm trying to learn before I leap.

Thanks for the comments!

I'd like a pic too. I've seen IWB hosters, but not one that goes between. Does the belt thread through it, or does it have a clip of some sort?

I think These belt/holsters are pretty interesting. They might work for what you want too.

Something like this?

Hopefully the attachment loads. If not, here is a link...

Works IWB, between pants and belt, or OWB. Left hand or right.

I have thought about the BELTSTER for quite a while. Could attach some denim to cover the barrel that hangs below the belt.
