Urrrgh! I missed a good deal! Burris E1 2-7x35 BDC Riflescope
I missed this:
For $129.99 at Cabelas of all places! It is a Burris 2-7x35 E1 with a BDC reticle. I had been eyeing this thing, but the weight was long? So I left planning to come back. Now their sold out! Last edited by Nathan; December 18, 2013 at 09:52 AM. |

Well, I missed it at $130....should I buy at $180ish or just keep saving?
Looking at mounting with the ADM extended QD mount. My other option is the PEPR QD, but they don't make an extended, which I think I need to still keep the gun fast...not positive. Looking generally at $200 - 300 low power variables with a 7x min high end, are there others I should really be looking at? With this scope, how has it worked for you. BTW, this is going on a 50 - 400 yd mid range AR. Sure, I might try a 600 yd shot, but the emphasis is on speed of engagement 50-250yds. No turning turrets to reach out further, just different aim point style mid range gun. |

Same scope is at Midway for $20 more, plus you get free shipping. How bad do you want it
Edit: Darn, should have looked closer, the Midway scope does not have your reticle. Sorry. |

Well, I'm looking at the Nikon Monarch 3 2-8x32 BDC now. Should do what I need and my Cabela's points will nock the price down a bit as well as allowing my to pay for it for a whole year interest free!

Compared the 2-7 Zeiss, 2.5-8 VX3 Leupold and Nikon Monarch 3 2-7....to my eyes, the Nikon was best by quite a bit.
I was primarily comparing clarity edge to edge, speed to put it on a 100 yd target and color rendition. I was prepared to go for either, but the Nikon really was clearer and easier to get on target at any range....the reticle was by far the best too. All that said, had they had the Burris E1, I think it would have been close. Can't wait to get the Nikon in real world bad light and see how I did. |
