Matte Blue vs Regular Blue

Does a matte blue provide anymore corrosion resistance then a regular blue?

Technically, no.
Practically, the matte finish can hold oil better than a mirror finish, but the bluing is the same.

You will probably find that a matte blue is slightly more likely to rust. The difference is small, but there are more places for moisture to collect and it is a little harder to wipe it completely dry.

Assuming you are talking about a true matte blue finish. There are many different gun coatings available today that do a great job and many look like matte blue.
