Uberti conversion cylinder in 1858 Pietta
Has anyone done this & if so what were the dimension/function problems, if any?

Crap! I could deal with the opposite situation. I'm also wondering if the timing might be off as well.

Timing SHOULD not be affected.
The Uberti's are a few thou shorter but they usually fit the Euroarms. I have set the shoulder back on the Pietta barrel (srew it in one more turn) to fit a shorter cylinder in the past but it may not be worth thr price savings for you if you are looking at a second hand cylinder. Regards, HH |
